Blast In Varanasi During Ganga Aarti [Reports: Many Injured]

Reports are coming in that there has been a bomb blast at Shitla Ghat in Varanasi, which is also known to be the adobe of the Ganges river. Sources say that the blast occurred during the Ganga aarti and that around 25 persons, including 7 foreign nationals and tourists have been injured. Official figures say that 7 have been injured. 18 month old girl has been confirmed dead.

2 explosives were found in separate areas close to the blast area.

The explosive was kept in a container which was close to a tea stall at the Ghat. Indian Mujahideen has taken responsibility of the blast.
