Titanic, the unsinkable set on its maiden journey on this date 100 years ago. It carried aboard hopes and dreams of 222,4 people. While RMS Titanic was not the first sea liner to befall a tragedy, it sure is one of the worst peacetime maritime disasters of the world. It has inspired the successful James Cameroon film ‘Titanic’ and several other adaptations. On 15th April 1912, an iceberg struck the ship which resulted in it’s sinking.
