The country is honored with oodles of allures decked with numerous attributes with such type of diversity that one can go crazy over it. If it comes to hill stations, India simply stands out of the race due to its endless list where each is better than another.

Let us introduce you to a hill station of India that is a crown to the region and has taken the tourism of our country to the next level; Ooty . “Ooty” is scintillating in every term, be it attraction, panorama, climate etc., it is proudly called the queen of hill stations and also the capital of Nilgiris District. As it is dubbed by the name of ‘Queen’ the city lives no behind in terms of splendors and is superbly bedecked with natural embracing jewels (Flora and Fauna). Ooty furnishes all the needs of avid travelers and opens the door to all sorts of fun and enthrallment.

Britishers, during their colonial days, got retreated here during summer vacations and ever since we got freedom, it remained the most visited tourist spot for weary travelers. From those days till now, Ooty is continually mesmerizing tourists with its splendid attractions.

Added adventures for voyagers include mountain train journey on a ratchet and immobilize trail which inaugurates from Kallar, near Mettupalayam and spreads over its way throughout many spine-tingling curves, apprehensive tunnels and chugs down by deep canyons full of lush striking vegetation, gurgling streams and tea gardens.

On going from Kallar to Coonoor, one can also experience a tremendous change in terms of vegetation. Tea Plantation in the city is something that makes the country proud. More attributes that make this city vivacious are its lofty mountains, dense forests, laurel grasslands and high ending tea gardens which are spread over on major routes of the city.

The blooming productivity of Tea Gardens as well as vegetations keep enhancing the charm of Ooty and compels people visit all through the year. Ooty Botanical Garden: The garden was established in 1847 by the Marquis of Tweedale, covering an area of over 55 acres. There are plenty of rare species of plants in the garden such as cork tree that is found only in India and other such as monkey puzzled tree that is a 29 million year old fossilized tree.

Doddabetta Peak: Doddabetta Peak is close to tiger hill. You can enjoy trekking here along with the amazing view.

Ooty Lake: A beautiful lake to visit and to experience the charm of tranquil as well as glittering water. It is dotted with varied ranges of flowers as well as other mesmerizing attractions.

Tiger Hill: It is about 16km away from the main town. There appears to be a cave combined to tiger hills that is a tourist spot for pilgrims. It’s indeed a perfect picnic place for all sorts of tourists.

Dolphin’s Nose: This Nose is a unique rock of wonderful proportions. The rock piece is out of the face of the hill side that looks like the nose of a Dolphin. It’s wonderful to view this amazing craft of nature.
