Global Village: A Showcase of 20 Different Countries.

[Release; 21-08-2010] To find the stability of having something to believe in amongst an ever moving mass of a city can be a challenge. And Delhi is that mass; the city, a race. In the focus of it, however, if you look really hard, you’ll find a congregation of people trying to create something concrete out of the tornado of diversity the capital is blessed with.

Global Village, is an initiative undertaken by AIESEC to harness international bonds and break barriers. Global Village runs across 11 cities on 23rd August, namely Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkatta, Pune, Ahemdabad, Chandigarh etc. as a platform for foreign students to showcase their culture and traditions in a festive environment, thereby promoting the the concept of international co operation on which AIESEC thrives. The event will be an amalgamation of culture, diversity and tradition on a common dais

AIESEC in Delhi University is hosting their Global Village at the Campus of Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC). The event will view stalls from over 20 different countries of the world, international participation of students from over 100 different countries and audience of over a 1000 students across Delhi University. The event will be exposed to over a lakh students across DU via the medium of Campus Promotion across 30 colleges. We envision that the event would leave us one step closer to being a complete Global Citizen.
