India has created history, yet again, by winning the world cup 2011. The last time India won the world cup was in 1983 under the captaincy of Kapil Dev. The final runs were made by Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh.
While the team broke into tears, the win is the biggest gift for Sachin Tendulkar, for whom this was the last Cricket World Cup.
