If you are bored with your busy city life and want some peace of mind then Sirmour is the destination you need.

A district among many districts of Himachal Pradesh, Sirmour stands high with its beautiful scenery. Surrounded with mountains from all the sides, this rural area has 90% of its population living in villages.

It is located at a distance of 315 km from Delhi and will take 8-9 hours drive to reach there. One can also opt for the northern railways service, but driving your way out to reach there is the most preferable one. While on your way to this mesmerizing place you will come across places such as KalaAmb- which indicates that you are about to reach the place, Jamta and Nahan- the capital.

Sirmour, a tourist spot famous for places of pilgrimages bears a salubrious climate with a temperature between 15-35 degree Celsius the while year long. Its lush green valleys will prove to be a treat for your eyes.

You would not face any accommodation problem here. Hotels in Jamta are quite easy to approach through e-mails and personally too. They also promise you to provide you with meals and whole lot of entertainment (bonfire, games etc.), and in case you do not wish to avail the luxuries of the hotel stay then you can pick up the camping opportunity provided by the hotels themselves.

Sirmour is certainly known for its natural beauty and fine weather but also has number of places to visit around which will leave you spellbound with their charisma. Renuka, Nahan, Paonta Sahib, Shivalik fossil Park, Kafota, Churdhaar and Rajgarh are the places that are worth visiting here.

Where Shivalik Fossil Park holds the importance for the display of life-size fiberglass models of pre-historic animals, Paonta Sahib stands to pay its tribute to the tenth Guru in the Sikh religion, Govind Singh. It is situated on the banks of river Yamuna and is a famous place among the pilgrims.

At Renuka, you will find a lake, popularly known as the Renuka Lake, surrounded with emerald-like mountains on all sides. Here you get to feed fishes and can go for boating too.

Here in Sirmour, you get a step closer to the Almighty as well, because of the hub of the temples it holds in it. RenukaJi, Gayatri Temple, Jaganath Temple Dei ka Mandir and Mata Bala Sundari Temple are some of the temples amongst many present there which makes it a sacred place.

In Sirmour, adventure and devotion goes side by side which make this place apt for anyone who is keen on having a short holiday trip. It takes you closer to nature, to God and to yourself.
