Time For Hafiz Saeed To Pay For His Wrongs

By Ashish Patel:

Mastermind of 2008 Mumbai attack, 2001 Lok sabha attack, 2006 Mumbai train blast and finally the founder of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), this is the identity of Hafiz Mohammad Saeed. Recently he is in news because US government has announced a bounty of $10 million on him. After that Saeed has claimed that India has played a key role behind this announcement of bounty by the US for his arrest.

In my opinion Saeed has always done wrong in his life so there is no need for India to provide wrong information to any other country because it is world known fact that what is the profile of Hafiz Saeed? Lack of evidence and accused escapes, the same doctrine applies on Hafiz Saeed. After getting hurt by an incident like 26/11 attack, every country will like to hang the convicts, who are behind that attack and India is doing the same.

India has witnessed a series of serious terrorists attacks and because of it, a lot of Indian as well as foreign citizens had lost their lives, which showcased a wrong image of India in World community. I concur with India’s present condition including political and social, we don’t have particular legal framework to deal with such kind of problems and lack of evidence always give the benefit of doubt to the accused. It may be that Saeed is seeking a way to defend himself by stating the statement about the wrong information by India, because as he has said that Pakistani people love the work which he has been doing, and for maintaining this present status, he is trying to defame India so that he remains undoubtful and clean in the eyes of Pakistani people.

A person always has to pay for one’s wrong and it is the right time for Saeed to pay for his wrongs, which he claims “the right work in the name Jehad”. The detriments which India has suffered due to terrorism are beyond the imagination but combating with it, is one of the main objectives of India. In one sentence it can be said that: INDIA STILL HAS A ROLE TO PLAY.
