Its Unbelievable How The Indian Police Behaved

Thousand of young Delhi residents brought their anger to the streets protesting against the gang rape of a 23-year-old woman who is currently battling for her life. The reason for the demonstrations were simple. An answer to the question of when will women in Delhi be safe. And the need of strict laws against such monsters who treat women in the country in such a shameful manner. However, as soon as the protest intensified a bit when people tried to break in barricades and move towards the Rashtrapati Bhavan seeking answers, they had to bear the “supremely responsible” Indian police. The police resorted to lathicharge and used water cannons, trying to slow down the protests. The protesting crowd had to face the strong cannons and tear gas shells continually while the lathis went on trying to stop them in their way.

While this was surely the way the rapists should have been treated, are these the things those protesting against them should have been exposed to? When the same Indian police slept their duties off letting the chartered bus pass through many locations in Delhi while the girl was raped in it, who gave them the rights to show off their energy “lathis” on those raising their voices for justice? Do You Think This Was Right?
