#Olympics, #iTunes Store: #Twitter Trends

By Shivangi Singh:

India has been officially dropped out of the Olympics. Tweeple were outraged as IOC decided to suspend India owing to the CWG Scam and the reputation it got for the administration of our country. Have a look:

Vijay Mallya– “Unimaginable that a Country with 1.2 billion people will not have National representation at the Olympics. We need to be a member of the IOC”

Farhan Akhtar-Like the CWG scam wasn’t depressing enough, we’ve been suspended by the IOC because of the same lot of mis-administrators. #saveourathletes”

Chetan Bhagat– “Dear IOC, you have suspended the IOA. Now if only you could round up the officials, take a javelin and…oh well, one step at a time.”

Anupam Kher– “As I am about to board the flight from Bangalore to Mumbai, TV is splashing ‘IOC Suspends IOA.’ Mera Desh Mahaan. Jai Ho.:)”

@fakingnews– “IOC has suspended IOA. Lalit Modi should be pardoned so that he starts a private Olympic league with Suresh Kalmadi”

Suhel Seth– “The jokers who run the IOA have ensured that the IOC suspends India! Athletes lose while these flipping Neros fiddle! #ThrowThemOut”

On a brighter note, iTunes Store is opening in India. Here’s the reaction this one got:

@duak– “The Best of Pink Floyd is a steal at Rs. 110 ($2) bucks for 16 tracks. No wonder it’s the best selling non-Hindi album on iTunes Store India”

Vikram Chandra– “Itunes store working in India?! Just downloaded first album!”

@greatbong– “iTunes Store in India? Waiting to hear how this FDI-type thing is killing Indian industry.
