26th February was a big day for us all. With the launch of the web and mobile platform, Youth Ki Awaaz has stepped in the whole new dimension of voice based advocacy and journalism – truly participatory and citizen driven. This shall be India’s first ever dedicated youth mobile platform that empowers anyone whether or not they have Internet access – to voice or report their opinions on crucial issues which affect them directly or indirectly. The idea for the creation of this platform was to offer anyone, even those with limited time and resources, with the power and ability to voice their opinions and get heard and access their right to freedom of expression.
