In September 2012, 96,000 youth from Uttar Pradesh were selected for unemployment allowance of a total of Rs. 16,000 crore yearly. However, this does not solve the real problem of unemployment. Unemployed youth still lack access and availability of jobs, even when there are 7 lakh Government job vacancies in Uttar Pradesh alone.

If steps are taken to fill them, the number of unemployed people will drop drastically.
