In August 2012, Hyderabad faced 4 days a week power supply with 3 days power holiday to cope with the huge gap in demand and supply that had been exacerbated over last several weeks.
Though Central Power Distribution Company Limited (CPDCL) officials claim that it has been resorting to three-hour load-shedding due to shortfall in supply, citizens complain they have been facing power cuts for several hours. While citizens face huge troubles, the politicians keep blaming each other for the problems.
