‘Your child does not pay attention in class/ Why are you not attentive enough/ You must pay attention’. We have heard these statements numerous times in parent teacher meetings at different stages starting from school till college. But then, is there actually some truth attached to the hue and cry behind the belief that the best performers are only the most attentive ones? Is it true that just sticking your eye on the teacher and being the most attentive person will give you a better understanding of what you are trying to learn?
