The saddest thing about this video is not the fact that the ‘Harijans’ have to bring their own glasses to drink water in the fields where they work, or the fact that ‘upper castes‘ sprinkle water on themselves if they touch an untouchable by ‘mistake’. The saddest part is that even kids of this place know that for some reason, their touch can make others dirty. And yet, all this continues, because “the goddess said so“.
