The Grand Old Party (GOP) as the Republicans are referred to in the United states, have taken it upon themselves to control the reproductive rights of women. It comes as a shock from arguably one of the most ‘developed’ nations in the world.
They also want to force the women to give birth to the ‘rape child’ if they become pregnant with the rapist’s child against their will and also want to end planned parenthood! Anti abortion hardliner Mitt Romney was their presidential candidate. To think that they are in power in many states in the United States is absolutely shocking, should the state have the power to decide what a woman wants to do with her body?
