Here’s Your Chance To Light Up The Lives Of Those Behind The Scenes Of Your Diwali Celebration This Year

By Amarendra Srivastava:

This Diwali, why not spread the joy of laughter and light to all those people who are so often forgotten about. While you enjoy gifts, light diyas and make rangolis, you can also take the chance to bring light to someone else’s life too.

To celebrate, LetzChange have launched ‘Dilwalon ki Diwali’, raising awareness of the work their inspirational NGO partners have achieved. Not only that, but they are offering you the chance to win one of three donations to award to the NGO of your choice.

There are some very critical issues around us.

While this festival of lights brings out the best feelings of love, laughter and camaraderie among us, it is a great time to remember those who work hard to make our celebrations a truly joyous experience. The potter who makes beautiful diyas, the farmer who labours in the sugarcane field, or the woman who works in a fireworks factory. More importantly, where are their children amongst all this labour? Are they getting the education they need and deserve?

Today, the statistics remain bleak:
● over 830,250,000 in India are living on less than $2 a day
● the highest child mortality rate in the world belongs to India
● only 31% of India’s population have access to proper sanitation facilities

Whether or not this includes those special individuals who are busy behind the scenes contributing to your celebrations we do not know, but we think there’s a good chance that they are. However, we all have the capacity to share the joy and light of Diwali. What’s more, LetzChange can provide you with the very tools to do this in a convenient and fun way.

LetzChange offers a solution
With nearly 100 NGOs to choose from covering almost every state in India, LetzChange provides easy access to the myriad of projects and good causes directly benefiting India’s most disadvantaged people.

The ‘Dilwalon ki Diwali’ campaign, currently running on the LetzChange Facebook page throughout Diwali, hopes to spur into action their 30,000 Facebook fans, inviting them to share the competition with friends and family to spread the generous spirit of Diwali and light up as many lives as possible.
