Perfection Is A Common Trait And Nothing Can Stop You From Being Perfect

By Kunal Arora:

Perfection is not a task, not a measure, perfection is my personality, and it’s my real nature.

The nature of perfection has always been very difficult to understand and to match yourself to that level is one of the most difficult tasks. There have been very few people who were able to understand what perfection requires and what it is about. It is the most important attribute to succeed in personal and professional life.

Being an important factor and demanded in every phase of life, still the real meaning of perfection is not understood by all. Some take perfection as a quality possessed by a very few people. Some take it as a deed for hard workers. If it is the case, then why only very few are called the perfectionists. Are others not hard working? Are they not willing to perform better? Anyone whom I have met at my workplace talk about improving their skills so as to perform better and enter the list of top performers, are all working and climbing the ladder of perfection. In the batch of hundred one can find only two or three perfectionist, sometimes even none.

Can perfection really be achieved by following some ways, is it achievable by all or is it God’s gift to some special people? The answer is that perfection is a common trait amongst all of us. It is not limited to only those who work hard and sacrifice their life for perfection. The reason why only very few are able to get it is because we are unaware of our potential. We have bound ourselves by fixing our goals. Before doing anything we take into account some constraints and limit our efforts and in such cases, even after working for days and nights we get unsatisfactory results.

The most important question which arises after this is how can I realize my full potential? What is full potential? Potential is the ability to perform a task under some conditions. If I was able to work and get good results on one task that makes me realize what my potential is. But at some point I fail in doing some particular activity as desired and the results were not up to the mark, does that mean that it is above my potential? This question can make most of us perplexed and if one tries to get the answer then it will make him/her even more confused. The simplest answer for this question was given by Lord Krishna in Gita.

“I am the limitless, infinite ocean of knowledge, strength, ability and I am there inside you then how can you be bounded or limited, realize my presence in your heart and work on your life. In case of success or failure, be neutral. In ignorance you may bound yourself and limit your potential, the only way to come out is ‘self-realization that is realizing that we are born with the super ability and the power to perform any task without any mistake. What limits us is just the ignorance. The seed of every talent and skill is inside us and it depends on us whether we are nurturing it or ignoring it.”

The moment we realize that our potential is limitless, we can do any work at the time we want to, the way we want to with the efforts we want to apply. This path of realizing self-potential is the only invincible way towards perfection. Those who walk on this path are aware of the possibilities and the divine aura inside them. To be perfect in the outside world one needs to realize the perfection inside them.

One can call it the ‘pathless path‘ as it is never the same for any person. Depending upon the determination, the path can be simple or complicated but only this path can lead to the mastery of doing everything perfectly.
