While You Were Busy Watching The World Cup, This Happened On The Streets Of Brazil!

By Dhruv Arora:

While the media has been showing us images of the historic Brazil defeat at the hands of the Germans, this is not the only defeat Brazil has faced this football season. With the latest installment of the world cup, FIFA brought it’s infamous history and corporation-focused vision to Brazil, compelling Brazil to waste $300 Million on stadiums, while the country suffers from poverty and lack of amenities. But the country fought back. In fact, the streets of Brazil are far from the squeaky-clean utopia that the organisation would like you to believe. Brazilians have been on the streets in large numbers aggressively protesting against FIFA and its corporation-centric approach to football, mostly falling on deaf ears, but the persistence and determination will give you goosebumps.
