In an article published in The Tribune titled “Land acquisition process gets its cruel ways back”, National Chief Spokesperson of Aam Aadmi Party, Yogendra Yadav, explained the recent Govt. ordinance on The Land Acquisition Act. He explains how we have gone back to the draconian colonial Land Acquisitions Act of 1894 that was used for forcible acquisition. He also points out how BJP has taken a U-turn from its previous position of supporting the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act of 2013 in its entirety to rolling back all the positive features of the new Act.
