The first teaser for the 24th official Bond film has just been released. This 96 second teaser trailer of the long awaited installment of this franchise lives up to it name – ‘Spectre’. It doesn’t have any witty one liners, or fancy gadgets and breathtaking stunts that we have all come to expect from Bond films, instead it delves into the ever so mysterious past of James Bond. The teaser projects an aura of menace surrounding the evil organization ‘spectre’ (which has previously appeared in other classic Bond films), and Bond looks too engaged in solving the cryptic message from the past to indulge in any of his signature histrionics. ‘A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE’ says the description of the video uploaded on the official YouTube channel of James Bond 007. Time magazine reports Sam Mendes, who helmed Skyfall, will direct the film starring Daniel Craig as Bond, Christoph Waltz as Oberhauser, Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny and Andrew Scott as Denbigh.
