This Buzzfeed video that went viral on social media after being posted a couple of days ago describes Times Now as ‘…known for often sensationalist and aggressive panels’. The video takes funny potshots at the loudmouth ‘Lord Arnab‘, and his panelists (a certain virat Hindu hogs almost all the attention though). The notorious Subramanian Swamy is the butt of jokes, deservedly so, he has worked hard for that honour. “I like how the host is instigating the fight” says one of the participants in this video, Arnab Goswami must be patting himself on the back on this recognition of his contribution to meaningful TV debates.
A lot can be written about the problems with the video, i.e. no acknowledgement of the quality of their own TV news media or comparisons with similar TV content at home (Fox news anyone?), the self self aggrandizing tone etc., but I would leave that to you.
