It was not ironical when the ‘People you may know’ suggestion on Facebook showed up his rapist’s name along with a ‘3 mutual friends’ message thrown in for good measure. It was much more. It was not unusual when the cops told him that he obviously could have fought back. It was much more. Kevin Kantor lives in a world that thrusts his rapist’s life and activites in his face, and he survives. He also lives in a world where male rape is almost unheard of, but he survives. To live another day and write another poem. “Every day I write a poem titled ‘Tomorrow’”, he says. “It is a handwritten list of the people I know that love me, and I make sure to add my own name at the top.”
