As the battle to Save The Internet gains momentum in India, the comedy collective ‘All India Bakchod‘ has just come out with a much needed explanatory video that could perhaps serve as a shot in the arm for the movement to support ‘Net Neutrality’. Many of you might have seen articles, petitions and documents floating around on social media for quite some time that mention the term ‘Net Neutrality‘, but perhaps ignored it thinking it doesn’t concern you. Well, the news is, as these guys have very simply yet effectively explained in this video, that it would change the very nature of the internet! If you believe in the idea of a free and fair internet, and want to join the fight, scroll down the video to see how you can take action.
It is heartening to see the movement gain momentum. Just a few days back, MP Tathagata Satpathy joined in and wrote a powerful letter (which you can read here) to the TRAI Chairman. And now, this hugely popular comedy collective has contributed in its own way. Perhaps taking a cue from John Oliver’s video on the same issue, AIB has explained it in the Indian context.

Net Neutrality is crucial for free speech, equal opportunity and innovation, and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India wants to hear from you regarding the same. Services like Airtel Zero are sly ways in which telecom operators are violating Net Neutrality.Sign this petition asking TRAI to not allow differential pricing of services on the Internet & let the consumers choose how they want to use the Internet.
