[Y]ral: This Heartwarming Initiative Uses X-Ray To Show That ‘Love Has No Labels’

By Sanskriti Pandey:

Can labels continue to define us when we are stripped down to our bare selves? We don social constructs as garb, and sub-consicously fall prey to a subtle conditioning that enables categories and stereotypes. But when it comes to our basics – human tendencies, needs and emotions that drive us all – is it right for anyone to decide for anyone what is “right” or “normal”?

In a campaign designed by Ad Council, people are shown acts of love and bonding through a large screen that removes clothing and skin, thus leaving mere x-ray-like projections for everyone to see. When pairs of people reveal themselves from behind the screens, what is brought out is a representation of the sheer diversity the human race thrives in, and the message that love knows no distinctions on the basis of any form of bias. Watch this video and be surprised at the “unconventional” pairings that emerge from behind a bare perspective. It urges you to rethink bias and tells you that love has no labels.
