As many as 8000 Rohingya Muslim refugees are currently stranded in the Andaman Sea having fled Myanmar, their motherland, whose Buddhist majority has driven them out. Denied refugee status in Bangladesh, and turned away at the shores of Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, these immigrants are wasting away at sea, in crowded, wooden boats, with food and water supplies on the ebb.
