When you ask someone if they want a cup of tea and they say, “maybe”, what do you do? Make them a cup of tea and wait for them to decide to drink it or not. If you make someone a cup of tea and they changed their mind while the kettle was boiling, you don’t force that tea down their throat!
Many of us grapple with the idea of ‘consent‘, and the confusion isn’t the consent seekers’ alone.
