While Kerala has been in the news for trying to cull street dogs, Friendicoes, Delhi, an organisation that works for animal welfare has provided a shelter for such dogs for the past 35 years. They have consistently been providing shelter homes as well as medical care, free of cost, to animals that have been abandoned, injured and abused. But, today Friendicoes’ Jangpura branch is being forced to shut down due to financial difficulties.

If you’re an animal lover, and even if you’re not, but believe in helping for a good cause, show your support by joining the #makeafriend campaign. Help Friendicoes by donating here or by changing your profile pictures and cover pages to a photo chosen from this photo album for the month of September.
