[Y]ral: This Survey In The Hands Of Tobacco Giants Could Be Disastrous For Kids In Australia

In what could be a fire with a lot of smoke, Big Tobacco, a pejorative term for the big bad tobacco industry, is angling really hard to get its hands on a report by the Victorian Cancer Council in Australia. The survey report about school children’s attitudes to smoking and alcohol in Australia could help them crack the code on how to market their unhealthy wares and magnify their sales. And to this end, they have filed freedom of information requests to access this government survey.

Led by Australia in 2012, 11 countries, India included, have witnessed a 17.5% dip in cigarette sales since they adopted plain packaging and warning signs, but watch this video to really understand how the tobacco industry wants to overturn this trend.
