8,00,000 people commit suicide every year making it the 15th leading cause of death in the world. Out of those 8,00,000, 17.5% are Indians. More people die of suicide than of traffic accidents, murders and animal attacks, combined. Data also reveals that there is more risk to life due to love affairs than sharks. From writers to philosophers, everyone has talked about the fragile mental condition of humans, beseeching fellow humans to act with compassion.
Reasons for suicide are attributed to physiological imbalance and psychological issues. Whatever the reason maybe, there’s no substitute for behaving with kindness and creating an inclusive environment. Watch this video to know how we can fight suicide.
