Policies like the sustainable development goals are letting the world’s richest 1% population, who own more than 48% of global wealth, live without guilt. Ignoring wrongs of the past, like colonialism and slavery, policies today suggest that poverty is an independent occurrence influenced only by that country’s issues.
World leaders suggest that the only way to solve the problem of poverty is through ‘growth’, that too by increasing the present world economy to 175 times its current size, no matter the repercussions to earth.
