Watch The Explanation Hindu Groups Are Giving For Banning Muslims At Garba Events

By Asmita Sarkar:

In the following video from 2014 a policeman is seen asking a local Bajrang Dal member, who has been checking the identity cards of people trying to enter a ground where garba is being played during Navratra in Madhya Pradesh, “Who are you to check the ID?”

Cut to 2015, another Hindu group has sprung as the moral police and saviour trying to save Hindu women from Love Jihaad. Only yesterday, Raghuvirsinh Jadeja, chief of Vishwa Hindu Parishad of the Mandvi tehsil unit, issued a ‘diktat’ barring Muslims from entering any garba events in Mandvi, Gujarat. “Incidents of love jihad where Muslim boys lure and marry our Hindu girls happen at Garba. Our only aim is to protect our girls,” said Jadeja, defending his ridiculous order. “We are getting a good response from the people and if the people from other regions respond to this movement, then we will spread it to their regions as well.”

As if this diktat wasn’t humiliating enough, he’s gone on to say that anybody entering the pandal would have to apply tilak, and have gaumutra (cow urine) sprinkled on them. Any show of hesitation would lead them to be debarred from entering. He also goes on to say that ‘his people’ will be patrolling the grounds to ensure that non-Hindus are not present. On asked how he would identify them, he said “We can identify such elements.”
