[Y]ral: In Less Than Two Minutes, This Video Will Clear Your Misconceptions On Feminism

By Anugraha Hadke

It almost seems like every time someone mentions ‘feminist’ or ‘feminism’, a deadly background score of ‘dun dun dun’ plays in an ignorant listener’s head. The interpretations of the terms have been distorted so much that many people refuse to identify with them out of fear of being ostracized as ‘man-haters’. The latest in the line of celebrities distancing themselves from feminism is Parineeti Chopra. Her statement follows Meryl Streep’s remarks where she chose to call herself a ‘humanist’ and not a feminist. Not you Meryl! Why did it have to be you?!

While there may not be one right way to define feminism, there certainly is a wrong way. And that is why this video is important. In just about two minutes, it debunks all the misconceptions one can have about feminism and proves how, whether you like it or not, whether you want to acknowledge it or not, you probably are a feminist.

What Saying ‘I’m Not A Feminist’ Really Means“Hating men and being a feminist are actually NOT connected at all. Not even a little bit.”
