[Y]Ral: 29,000 Children Under Age 5 Die Every Day In India. Watch How You Can Prevent This

By Ankita Mukhopadhyay:

Globally, an estimated [envoke_twitter_link]29,000 children under the age of five die every day, mainly from preventable diseases like diarrhoea[/envoke_twitter_link]. According to UNICEF, 90 per cent of child deaths from diarrhoeal diseases are directly linked to contaminated water, lack of sanitation or inadequate hygiene. And most of these children who die are unable to even reach the age of 5. Currently, around 780 million people do not have access to an improved water source. Narendra Modi, when he was elected last year, pledged to provide sanitation for every household, primarily to tackle the growing problem of sanitation related diseases.

According to the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), [envoke_twitter_link]regular hand washing is one of the best ways to remove germs[/envoke_twitter_link], avoid getting sick, and prevent the spread of germs to others. In many Indian households, regular hand washing is still not practised on a regular basis.

What if someone came from the future and told you that by washing hands regularly you can not only save your own life, but someone else’s? Watch.
