In One Tweet, Stephen King Sums Up Why It’s Wrong To Blame All Muslims For Paris Attacks

By Anshul Tewari:

The day the terror attacks in Paris took place, we put out a GIF about why blaming all Muslims is the wrong approach to take. Mostly because logic says that a community as big as 1.6 billion people has all kinds of individuals, like any other community. As expected, there was tremendous backlash by those who believe that the entire community needs to be held responsible.

Like Reza Aslan said in a recent interview, there are Christians who, in the name of Christianity, commit hate crimes, there are Muslims who do the same, and so do people from other religions. Remember when Akhlaq, a Muslim man was lynched in Dadri for allegedly consuming beef, which was against the beliefs of the attacking group? That does not mean you blame the entire community.

And then came this tweet from author Stephen King, which puts it clearly for us all to understand.

You go, King.
