In the recently concluded Gram Panchayat elections, UP saw a possible change in its political environment as the Bahujan Samajwadi Party, after losing Assembly polls in 2012, and Lok Sabha polls in 2014, showed an impressive performance. As this shift creates ripples at the state and possibly national level, Khabar Lahariya went back to the grassroots and asked first-time voters what they expected out of the candidates they were voting for.
