This 90 Second Brilliant Ad By An Australian University Will Give You Goosebumps

By Lipi Mehta:

It’s the 1980s in a South Sudan ravaged by war. 6-year-old Deng Thiak Adut is taken away from his mother and forcefully conscripted into the rebel army. He fights against the government in the South Sudanese Civil War even before he’s a teenager, and takes a bullet in his back. This bullet, however, turns into his freedom.

“Do you remember the things it let you feel?” asks a popular Jarryd James song, the accompanying soundtrack to the ad. Do you remember the adversities you have faced and do you remember how you came out of them? This ad will make you think about that and more, as you follow Deng’s inspiring journey and know who he is today. More than anything, it will make you believe that it’s possible.
