On 5th January, the Supreme Court upheld its decision to temporarily ban the sale of large diesel cars in Delhi. With the implementation of the odd-even plan in the capital, pollution has definitely reduced but continues to be at unsafe levels. Diesel vehicles are allowed to pollute more and their exhaust is directly linked with cancer. This is a good enough reason to regulate the sale and use of Diesel vehicles especially in cities like Delhi which has a perpetual problem of air pollution. Watch this video to understand just how much damage these vehicles can cause to our health. That big diesel SUV may not be such a good idea after all.
