Hallelujah, your wish has been granted. Internet streaming giant[envoke_twitter_link] Netflix is now in India![/envoke_twitter_link] CEO Reed Hastings launched Netflix in 130 new countries during his keynote address at the CES 2016 tech show at Las Vegas yesterday. To quote him, “Today you are witnessing the birth of a new global Internet TV network.”
… Netflix is now global. #NetflixEverywhere

Some of the other countries that will now have access to Netflix include Russia, Ethiopia, Botswana, Afghanistan, Angola, South Korea and Burkina Faso. However, China, a major market, is still not included in this list. Hastings recognised that consumers are “willing to pay a fair price rather than resort to piracy” and spoke of Netflix’s dream to deliver content to billions across the world when it started 20 years ago. The platform is also home to some pathbreaking original TV shows such as ‘Orange Is The New Black’, ‘House Of Cards’ and ‘Sense8’. Indians can create an account starting with Rs. 500 month. With #NetflixIndia and #NetflixEverywhere trending on Twitter, evidently, people across the world couldn’t contain their excitement. So before you begin your binge watching spree, take a look at some of the reactions we found!
