Editor’s note: Expressing solidarity with the students of JNU, the teachers boycotted their classes to join the protests demanding the release of JNUSU President Kanhaiya Kumar. In the midst of JNU being branded as a ‘hub of anti-nationals’, the faculty organised lectures on nationalism, the first of which was held on 17th February by Professor Gopal Guru on “What is the idea of a nation“. Here is a glimpse of the lecture that was carried outside the administrative block on campus.
