1. At least 10 journalists and several students were assaulted by lawyers and BJP MLA inside and outside the Patiala House Courts where JNUSU President Kanhaiya Kumar’s case was to be heard. DU professor SAR Geelani has been arrested on sedition charges as well for allegedly organising an event at the Press Club of India to mark the death anniversary of Afzal Guru.
