By YKA Staff:

6 Million kids in India are out of school right now according to Oxfam India. Even after four years of education, 90% children from poorer households are still illiterate.

Rajani Paranjape is a social worker, who seeks to address this issue through her unique service. “We named our organisation ‘Door Step School’ (DSS); because we go wherever the children are and start the classes right there,” says the pioneer woman.

DSS, since its inception, has earned a lot of appreciation and won many hearts. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge too met the DSS kids on their recent visit to India, to share some encouragement and boost ’em up.

This video, much like Rajani Tai’s philosophy, stands by the idea that every child counts. You will have all your hope lurking at the corner of your lips by the end of it.
