The exquisite weaving traditions of Duajhar in Odisha are in serious decline. Despite their extraordinary talent, weavers here earn less than agricultural labourers or dishwashers in streetside dhabas. They are unable to send their children to good schools, are mired in debt and do other work just to survive. Durjan Meher, Ugrasen Meher, and Jogender Meher are skilled weavers in the workshop owned by Bhojalal Meher. In this documentary by Purusottam Thakur, they tell their stories.
