Twitter Movie Review: Aishwarya Returns In ‘Sarbjit’ (Many Wish She Hadn’t)

By YKA Staff:

After premiering at Cannes, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda starrer ‘Sarbjit‘ released in theatres across India today. This is Bachchan’s second film in just 6 months, after the oddly green-tinged Jazbaa released in October 2015. ‘Sarbjit‘ is based on the real-life story of Dalbir Kaur, who fought a hard battle for 20 years to free her brother Sarabjit Singh from jail, after he was accused of being a spy by Pakistani authorities.

On Twitter, Sarbjit seems to be the talk of the day. Interestingly, ‘We Love Richa Chadha’ even trended for a few hours, for her supporting role in the film. Many users on Twitter are either excited to watch the film or have already seen it. A host of movie critics have shared their views as well. We’ve curated what the first-day-first-show goers have said, so you can plan your weekend movie outing! (P.S. X-Men: Apocalypse is in theatres too.)

Film critic Anupama Chopra wasn’t too pleased with the ‘disjointed screenplay’.

“Aishwarya sure knows how to ruin a good thing.” – HuffPost India critic Suprateek Chatterjee

Trade analyst Komal Nahta’s first prediction is out.

Critic Raja Sen has called it an “irresponsibly sloppy film”.

He no care about what critics say, he wants to watch it again!

Big B is VERY pleased with Randeep Hooda’s performance.

It was almost life changing for this movie goer.

“I wish this movie wasn’t based on reality.”

Give the movie the love it deserves, felt this movie goer.

We have a hunch this one dozed off during the film.
