Baggage, however, is not in short. Rio has the unique situation of having to deal with multiple corruption scandals, a frightening disease outbreak (rhymes with Mika) and athlete doping issues. If the Commonwealth Games 2010 held in Delhi is anything to go by, us Indians are pretty used to this kind of drama (shoddy infrastructure, corruption etc.).
Right now, many Olympians in Rio’s Games Village seem to be going through a rough patch themselves. It may not be too important that many of them have to metaphorically lose sleep over disgusting water coming out of their restrooms and then literally lose sleep over resting in excruciatingly small single beds. They are only preparing for the biggest moment in their professional lives. Only.
Camping… It's a lot like #IOCLuxuryLodging but without the high-rise fire danger.
