Bet You Haven’t Seen This Gripping Mystery Film By Christopher Nolan

By Anuj Pant:

Before Christopher Nolan broke Hollywood with his movies consisting of an ingenious blend of art and commercial cinema, he made “Doodlebug”, a three-minute short film. This, along with “Following”, an hour long black and white feature, propelled him to direct “Memento”, and the rest they say, is history.

Doodlebug” is a mysterious short film. Something is not quite right with the main protagonist (played by Nolan’s friend, Jeremy Theobald), a seemingly paranoid, shut-in who attempts to kill a minuscule mysterious moving object. Revealing anything more would be a great disservice to the many mind-bending talents and the sheer cinematic creativity that Christopher Nolan displayed so early on in his career.
