At a time when we’re seeing the rising tide of bigotry and hate in different parts of the world, Amazon’s new video is the heartwarming surprise we all needed.
This last year itself has seen a world more divided than ever along lines of religion, nationalism, race, ethnicity and more. For many, the victory of Donald Trump (with his rhetoric of bigotry and of Islamophobia) as well as separation of the U.K. from the European Union (popularly known as Brexit) has signaled a sort of doomsday effect for multiculturalism and a shared value system. But while the big picture may look frankly terrifying at times, the point is that we, the everyday person, can continue to spread those values of tolerance, friendship and love onwards, no matter what.
And this is precisely what this video aims to say.
