Captain Cool’s Resignation Left Everyone Numb

“I resign,” the captain said. As everyone stood numb at this unexpected decision, he just smiled. He had a last ball six yet again.

Indian cricket team captain, Mr. Mahendar singh Dhoni, pouplarly known as Captain Cool left all his fans numb and shocked after declaring his resignation as a caption on January 4, 2017. Though this great cricketer will continue to give his services to the team as player but India will now no more lead the team.

His journey as a captain began when he took over the charge from Rahul Dravid in 2007. Throughout the 10 years of his captaincy (2007-2016 ) the Indian team reached new heights. As a captain, Dhoni holds numerous records such as most wins by an Indian captain in Tests and ODIs, and most back-to-back wins by an Indian captain in ODIs. He is definitely a great captain and an honourable human being as well.

Indian cricket team as well as his fans will surely miss him as captain, but we hope the the legacy will continue. We wish him and the upcoming captain all the very best.
