Article: Bollywood today Entertainment or business?

Bollywood, nowadays, has become a pure business. Where movies are senseless and story-less. Directors only consider some big stars in their movie to earn 100rs. Cr. However, not all the movies are the same , some of the movies are of good content , good actors, but because of low budget and lack of actor’s recognition(goodwill), films do not do well. Like, Masaan movie, in which Vicky Kaushal, Richa Chadhha, etc were acted really well, the story was brilliant and different too, and begged so many awards but still couldn’t earn well. However, movies like Jai Ho, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo etc. gained 100cr club easily just because of Salman Khan and other big actors.
The story-writers play a big role in every movie. And, in Bollywood, they do not get their proper remuneration, and that’s why, the stories of such movies are seen no where. In Hollywood, writers observes, research and takes proper time to create such master-pieces like Spotlight, Inception, Gravity, etc. They earn respect, recognition and remuneration but Bollywood doesn’t provide such things, as we hardly know some writers. If the good writers joins a good director with some fine actors instead of known actors then only we can have better movies like Masaan , Lunchbox, Nil Battey Sannata, etc.
So in a nutshell, movies which are senseless, story-less but with big stars do very well on box office, and movies like Lunchbox are hardly seen by anyone. It gives such clear impression that how Bollywood create movies for money only.
