Lack of education is at the root of most problems around the world. We are a group of students from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, who have launched an initiative called “The Minion’s Pie (Spandana)“, with an aim to alleviate the education crisis in rural India.
Our first project is in association with Sarvahitey, a Delhi-based NGO, which is planning to establish around 500 libraries for underprivileged children all across India.
We are, thus, conducting a BOOK DONATION DRIVE in Bengaluru and our goal is to raise a minimum of 500 books for the libraries. Thus, we urge anyone and everyone to come forward and donate as many old or spare books as you can; be it textbooks, magazines, comics, children’s books, stationery and even xerox of notes of any language.

Anyone interested to donate books can contact us through an email at, or can drop a message on our Facebook page, The Minion’s Pie-Spandana. It is an earnest request to all Bangaloreans to arrange at least one or two spare books for our drive. People outside of Bangalore, who can arrange a good enough amount of books, can courier them to us.

Youth Ki Awaaz is an open platform where anybody can publish. This post does not necessarily represent the platform's views and opinions.
