Women in most countries are always being told what to and what not to wear. Another country to ban burqas is Morocco and the reason stated is the misuse of the garment by terrorists.
The manufacturing, marketing and selling of the burqas has been stopped. It becomes very important as a majority of the women in the country are Muslim, though the conservatives are in minority.
The extremist groups have taken it as an issue harming the Islamic sentiment, posting it on Facebook, as an “attempt of war against god”. The government has taken the step to protect the tourism sector of the country because any kind of terror impacts its business. but the big question is – do the women have a say in all of this? The government wants to ban something women wear and extremists want them to cover themselves for god!
